Once again, things are looking a little crazy around here. Maybe I subconsciously adjust my blog to mirror the current state of my life/brain/desk, because they look pretty crazy, too. I’m switching from Blogger to WordPress and there’s a lot to learn (although this tutorial from Nose Graze was a lifesaver!).
If you read this in your email or a reader like Bloglovin’ or Feedly, you might not even notice. Regardless, I’ll have it all straightened out soon. Soonish.
Ahhh I’ve been considering doing this… But I’ve heard horrible stories about how hard it is! Have you run into an hiccups??
I know, I read through a bunch of tutorials that were completely confusing and seemed like a nightmare, until I came across the one I linked above! It was actually fine… the only hiccup is that the images in my past posts transferred over at a lower quality so they look blurry. I’m in the middle of deciding how to fix that now. Overall I think it’ll be tough for a bit but worth it in the end. The WordPress CSS editing system is a little more complicated than Blogger but once you start figuring it out, you can customize things way more, which is why I made the switch. I’d just gotten to the point where there were things I wanted to change or alter that Blogger simply wouldn’t let me! So the blog might be a little messy for a bit because unfortunately I just don’t have that much time to work on it, but I’m glad I switched because it had been weighing on my mind for a while 🙂 Let me know if you decide to or are wondering about it!
Update… for whatever reason, it looks like only my five or so most recent posts transferred with blurry images. So it’s a bit tedious, but not actually that big of a deal to just update the posts with new pictures. Other than that just a bit of design stuff to figure out but I already like some of the new features that are available!
