…Surrey.

Theoretically, that is how you could be addressing letters to me beginning in September.  Well, actually, I’d hope to upgrade to The Smallest Bedroom, but that might be wishful thinking.

I heard back a couple of days ago from the University of Surrey in England.  While I don’t have an overall first choice out of the schools I applied to, there are some leaders within different categories (location, classes, cost, etc.), and the environmental psychology master’s degree at Surrey is probably my top choice in regards to program specifics.

Unlike some of the other programs I applied to, which are in applied or industrial/organizational psychology, this program is 100% designed around environmental studies and sustainability through a psychology lens.  While the other programs are great ones, and very interesting to me, as well, this one is just ideal in that way.

I don’t actually know very much about Surrey itself (other than it being where Harry Potter lived), but when you Google it you get pictures like these:

I am pretty sure the whole county is a real life Thomas Kinkade painting.

Anyway, no decisions yet.  I still have six applications outstanding, most of which I won’t hear back from until April, and I don’t want to get set on anything before I’m really looking at all my options.  However, Abby has already been looking up flats to rent in Surrey, so she is really not helping me with the not getting ahead of myself idea.

Sarah has a little count going on the fridge that says “World: 2 – USA: 0.”  So far, New Zealand and Surrey are options, and my other six applications are spread across London, New York (three there), Boston, and San Francisco… so I truly have NO idea where I’ll be blogging from come September.  I’ll let you know when I get there!
